Money vs People

Simon Sinek Quote

I adore this quote from one of my favorite authors and speakers, Simon Sinek. In small, creative businesses, often people feel ashamed to want to make money or to have lots of money. Talking about money (or making a lot of it) is often viewed as negative, but why? Is it because wanting money makes us greedy? Wanting more than you need and at the expense of others might certainly mean you are greedy. But wanting to run a profitable (and possibly really profitable!) business isn’t a bad thing. As long as you love serving and helping people too. You’ve found the sweet spot when you can serve, help, and inspire lots of people while also making lots of money. After all the more money you make, the more people you can reach, the more people you can serve, and the more people you can help. So let’s erase those negative connotations with making money and asking for money. “It’s ok if we like money. Just remember to love people.”
